They're back!
Well I finally heard from the crew that went down to CHA in Anaheim. They had a blast! The weather was perfect, the show was great, they hated to come home! Can you blame them?

Bob was saying something about selling the house and having Riley and Chassie shipped down! As you can see from the picture - he came back under protest - he practically had to be dragged away!

Cathy got some great pictures - she is quite the photographer, and seems to be an expert at wrapping sales reps around her finger!

Sherry loved watching Tim do his thing with his new toys, Jennie was already scheming on how to rearrange the store to make room for all the new goodies that they have ordered.

So - let me start out with Tim and his new toys - Distress Markers! Yup - 36 amazing markers to expand your creativity. Check out the video here.

Jennie has some sets on order - she is offering them for $90 for a complete set - if you do the math, that comes out to $2.78 each! Call the store and reserve yours today! She will be incorporating these very cool markers into a future technique class.

Skribbles and Scraps are taking preorders for the set of 12, at the great price of $65 for the set.

Let me save you pulling out the old calculator (does anyone really use a calculator anymore? - I use my cell phone!) This great price for the set works out to $5.40 each. Gotta have them, and they are fabulous!

In February 2012 these yummy colors will be available in the

Sketch Marker style, as well as Various Ink, (refills) bringing them to a total of 358 colors.

So - if that wasn't wonderful enough for one post - there are only two more sleeps until Bob and Jennie leave for CHA Winter 2012 in Anaheim California.

I hear they are taking Cathy and Sherry again. That's a good thing - 'cause Cathy and Sherry are the ones that get all the good pictures of Bob and Jennie - you know - the evidence!

I heard about the ones they snapped in Chicago where Jennie and Bob fell asleep - in the lobby of the hotel....and it wasn't even their hotel! Ask them about that!

Winter CHA is much bigger than CHA Chicago is. That can only mean much more very neat stuff coming into the store in the next couple of months. I can't wait until they get back to get the scoop!

Just so you know - the store will be open as usual while they are gone. Riley and Chassie and grandma are minding the fort. No crop night on Friday night though. That will give you a free night to make sure there is room in your craft room for all the fabulous new products you know you can't be without!

Well – Happy New Year everyone! Riley and Chassie here. Remember us - the cute ones? We told Sparkles to take a break – that we would handle the first post. Sorry it has taken so long….we ARE dogs you know, and it’s hard to type with your paws.

We overheard Bob and Jennie talking, and they have lots of very cool human stuff planned for 2012. Jennie will be doing some Technique classes – featuring Ranger Products (‘cause for some reason they seem to love this Tim guy - and he's not even a dog.)

Bob is sourcing out new and exciting things to bring into the store this year. He is kinda a hunter of sorts….and we love that he spends the day in the store on the hunt and feeds us “accidentally” by dropping things. He is just an all round cool dude in our books (ah…do we have books???)

We do have a bone to pick with Bob and Jennie though…..we heard they were going away again. This time they are going to California – to CHA Winter 2012 – and they are leaving us at home! Not fair! Give us a pair of sunglasses, and we can be really cool California dogs just like in the song….” I wish they all could be California …..dogs……..” You know - the Beach Boys song....

They have a habit of leaving us at important times. Remember when they went to CHA last summer in Chicago? They left us here to deal with the birth of their first grandchild. Again – it was a good thing we were here to deal with everything. Riley and Chassie to the rescue as usual!

Speaking of leaving us at important times – did you know they left us alone on New Year’s Eve? That’s one of the most important food dropping days of the year….and no one was around to drop anything!

They both got really dressed up, and told us they were going to Jordan and Gillian’s wedding. Bark! Bark! Another important food dropping event! What were they thinking leaving us at home?

We to this day don’t know if they really went to a wedding – we have never seen any pictures. We’re sure there were tons of young people with cell phones with cameras in them….and yet not one picture was taken! Humans! They were probably so busy dropping food on the floor all night, they didn't have time to take pictures! So – we’ll believe there was a wedding when we see the proof. We can tell you though -that Bob and Jennie look really good when you clean them up….we are the witnesses!

So – stay tuned for an even better year than 2011. Come in to the store and we will give you the scoop on what’s to come. We can be easily bought. All we ask is that you drop a little food……

Well - as you have probably gathered, we are BIG Tim Holtz fans here at Skribbles and Scraps. Oh did I say BIG? - well I mean GI-NORMOUS fans! So - it's fitting that the last blog of the year is about Tim!

We could barely contain our excitement this week when we found out that Tim is putting the finishing touches on his new book "A Compendium of Curiosities Volume ll." It will be released at CHA Winter 2012 at the end of January - and we can't wait to get our hands on it!

Gentlemen - first off - we want to thank you for all the support you have given to your wife over this past year in her papercrafting endeavors. Your patience when she disappears through the week to attend classes at Skribbles and Scraps, or the Friday Night Crop, is to be commended.

You are truly wise men! You are smart enough to know that a night out playing with ink and paper is good therapy, and probably a reasonably priced one at that.

The reality is, your wife is a lot like you. She too has "tools" that she gets excited about. Dies, punches, heat guns (I know you have some of these in your shop!) are also words that pique the interest of the papercrafter in your house. Though some of the names are the same, our tools just look a little bit different than your tools. And like you - she loves to get her hands dirty - but with inks!

I know that men say that they can never have enough tools....well - we women say the same thing. So, even if all her papercrafting supplies and tools have taken over the house, or you can't move around in her craft room - trust me - she still needs more.

So - do you want to know what will make your wife very happy on Christmas morning? The same thing that will make you happy - more tools!

Imagine getting a gift certificate to your favourite tool store. I know you probably already have a list of what you would buy. Well - she is no different!

The last time I was in Skribbles and Scraps - I noticed that Bob and Cathy seem to have an eye - for dies!

These two "Die -guys" - have ordered some really neat new dies. Here are a few examples.

Great for cards or scrapbook pages. Dies for all occasions - I love the heart and the square frame! And - there is even one for a guy-card! That's a rare find!

So - pop in this week and see what the "Die-guys" have in store for you!

If you have been watching Tim Holtz's blog - you have seen the beautiful tags he has been creating for his 12 Tags of Christmas. If you have not had time - brew a cup of tea or grab a glass of wine, put your feet up and check them out! They are packed full of technique - his creativity seems endless!

One of the tools you will often see in his pics - is the Ranger "Heat It Craft Tool".

This is no ordinary heat gun - it is so quick and quiet! It's great for use with embossing powders - because it doesn't blow the powder off your paper like those other guns. I know - because I have replaced my old gun with this new Ranger gun. It was a smart move! It is so much easier to hold and control where I want the heat.

Here's a little trivia about this heat gun. I understand that it was out of stock for the longest time, because the company that was originally making them could no longer supply them. Another company took on the challenge - but of course everything had to be retooled - so that took time. But the outcome was great - the Ranger Heat It Craft Tool is hotter and quieter than the original gun!

The other good news is that Skribbles and Scraps now carry them! And leave it to Jennie - she saw the heat gun and decided it was a blank canvas, waiting to become a piece of art! Check it out -

December 1st already! Where did November go? Does anyone else feel like life is zooming by??

Jennie has been very busy - and has the war wounds to prove it!

Yup - it's broken! What to you want to bet she was moving at warp speed at work when she did this! It figures it's her dominant hand - so she isn't able to do all she wants in her craft room. For someone as creative as Jennie, you know that means major frustration!

Bob has been busy little elf in his workshop, coming up with more storage solutions to make your crafting life easy and organized.

You name it - storage for paper, stickles, copics, ink pads, ribbon, smoosh spray - Bob will have a solution for you.

So - if someone has been making comments on the state of your craft room - give them your wish list - and send them to see Bob. Do it soon - Christmas will be here before you know it!

Winter 2011 (distress ink) has arrived!

I am soooooo excited!

I spoke with Jennie last night - she just got in the latest Tim Holtz product - his seasonal distress inks!

If you are not up on your Tim Holtz buzz - he has been developing some seasonal distress inks - starting with a fall series. There will not be any re-inkers for any of these series - and once they're gone, they're gone!

These new ones are the second in the series. They're a limited edition, set of 3 inks - made just for the season. Yes - the Winter 2011 Seasonal Distress Inks have just been released - the colours are fabulous and Skribbles and Scraps have them!

Evergreen bough, festive berries, and iced spruce will quickly become favourites - and I can see them being used way beyond the Christmas/winter season.

I hate winter - but I love these new winter distress inks! Hurry into the store - quantities are limited. You can pick up a set for $15 - then spend some quality time in your craft room with a warm beverage and a little Tim.....makes the winter seem a little cozier!

The other day, I decided I could use a new pair of underwear. ( I'm not really sure why they are referred to as a "pair" when clearly there is only one….unless it implies that my butt is so big that it really needs "a pair" to cover it....... but I digress)

Now I have to tell you, I HATE shopping - unless it's for craft supplies, so for me, it was already bordering on a less than fun experience. Really, is there anything worse than trying to imagine if all of you will fit into what little there is of that?

So - after agonizing over which one of the two pair I had picked out to buy, I decided to get both of them and get out of the store as soon as I could. I had already spent 30 minutes of my life that I will never get back! I quickly headed to the check-outs.

I hate it when the check-out girls hold them up before they fold them to put them in the bag, as if to wonder "Who is she kidding - she will never fit into these!"

Grateful this experience was over, my underwear tucked securely and discretely in my plastic store bag, I hurried out of the store....but not before I set the alarms off……you know the ones I mean - the ones that seem to scream "Stop Thief!" and everyone turns to see who tried to steal what.....

As if the whole experience had not dragged on long enough already, the male security at the door pulled my underwear out of the bag and began examining them, while the "Stop Thief!" alarm continued to sound.

After what seemed like forever, the alarm stopped, only to have him wave the underwear at the alarm and set it off again! This required further exam, because something about these underwear must be making the "Stop Thief!" alarm go off.

I was mortified…..turning several shades of red…thinking - all I wanted was a pair of underwear……..plain, cotton, nothing "Hot" enough to set off any alarms! Will this ever end?

Finally security decided he was not going to figure out why my underwear set off the alarm, and he stuffed them back in the bag, let me pass through the barrier, alarms still sounding…

All I could think about as I left the store and laughed - "there ought'a be a card for this….."

Putting on the (Glitter) Ritz!

On Friday Nov 11 - Skribbles and Scraps is demoing -"Everything you always wanted to know about Glitter Ritz - but were afraid to ask!"

Glitter Ritz is not your ordinary glitter - it is a micro fine glitter that can be used in a number of very cool ways. Skribbles and Scraps has been carrying this for over a year now - and Jennie is still coming up with fresh new ways to use this fun product.

It comes in oodles of colours - 60 in all - (you will want to collect them all!) and makes your cards or scrapbook pages look very elegant.

I was talking to Jennie last night - she and Cathy and Sherry were in Chatham last Saturday at the annual Zonta Cardmaking Event.

It was a sold out crowd, and the Skribbles and Scraps gang were there doing a cute little Christmas make 'n take. 72 happy card makers sat around their table and had a chance to shop at the Skribbles and Scraps booth.

Is this not the cutest little basket? It's a Heartfelt die - made exclusively for Heartfelt by Spellbinders. It has sooooo many possibilities - Christmas, Easter, baby and bridal showers, little thank you treats for teachers, co-workers, tags for gifts.....

Jennie said it was great to connect again with crafters they met last year - and lots of new faces - many who came from all over southwestern Ontario.

So - for those who may be thinking - I love the little bit that I saw in the booth - but Skribbles and Scraps is way up in Sarnia - trust me - it's worth the drive to Sarnia!

Skribbles and Scraps has decided to celebrate Halloween this year in a special way. They are usually closed on Mondays - but this Halloween they are open from 11:00 - 7:00 for NO TRICKS OUR TREAT!

Why should kids have all the fun this Halloween?????

I am sure you crafters have been busy sewing costumes, baking treats for school and Halloween parties, running around getting treats to give out, dealing with the messy pumpkin goo....

It is time to take a break and come in for a treat - really, it's no trick!

ScrapFest Oshawa 2011

Bob and Jennie are going on a road trip!

They are gathering up paper, tools, supplies and all kinds of goodies, getting ready to go to ScrapFest in Oshawa! Check it out here!

Hi - remember us?

We're Riley and Chassie, the really cute members of the family.

We just wanted to let you know we are so excited because - Mom's birthday is Sunday! Yes - our mom, Jennie is going to be.....ahh...well, somewhere between 232 and 800 dog years old! She won't say - humans are so silly that way.

We hope there's cake - and maybe that cute kid Langdan will come over and he and Bob will drop cake on the floor for us!

You know, if humans were as smart as dogs, they would have 8 birthdays a year - think about it - that means 8 birthday cakes!

Apparently, Jennie and Bob have had a number of comments about the pictures of Bob's Bow Builder. First - there wasn't a really clear picture of the actual Bob's Bow Builder. So, here it is...

The next thing was how hairy Jennie's knuckles are! So - let me squash the ugly rumours - those are Bob's hairy knuckles!

I know I said that Jennie put together a tutorial but Bob's hairy knuckles were the star! Jennie was the camera person. Trust me, Jennie has beautiful girlie hands. LOL!

Bob's Bow Builder retails for $10. Great for those gift exchanges under $10!

Conquering the Bow!

Show of hands please - how many of you have struggled making bows!

Me too!!!! I love bows, but sadly, mine look pathetic. Oh - I try really hard.... and I have a couple of bow making products....but you almost need an engineering degree to figure them out.

I have scads (is that a word???) of ribbon just wasting away in a drawer, because a crafter can't have too much ribbon if you know what I mean! And the new Christmas ribbon is coming out, but I really can't justify buying any more when I can't use what I have because I am, sadly, "bow-challenged."

So - this week when I was in the store I finally met the answer to my bow making challenges. Three little words - Bob's Bow Builder!

I don't know if you knew this, but Bob is quite a Renaissance man - a man of many accomplishments! Not only is he knowledgeable about tools and techniques in crafting, but he is a talented woodworker! He has come up with many storage solutions for crafters, and his workmanship is excellent, with great attention to detail. Here is just one example of his work.

So, imagine my delight when he showed me his latest creation - Bob's Bow Builder. He has taken a simple concept, and created a

tool to help make teeny tiny bows, to large bows - your choice. Once he showed me how easy it was - I walked out of the store with one of my own - excited that my ribbon stash was about to be put to good use.

Jennie has put together a tutorial for using it (she and Bob are such a great team!)

1. Hold tail in left hand. (Works best when ribbon rolls off the bottom of the spool)

2. Right hand holds ribbon off the spool. Ribbon should be behind posts to start. Pull ribbon from left to right across front of posts.

3. With left hand, wrap tail around right post at back and around over top ribbon in right hand.

5. Take the tail in the left hand as above. Bring UNDERNEATH through the two posts.

6. Take ribbon in right hand and bring OVER top post to meet with other tail.

7. Tie knot with tail and ribbon from spool.

8. Remove from post.

So crafters - get on into the store and pick one up. Bob will show you how easy it is to use! You can also make double and triple bows which look fabulous.

By the way....think Christmas - and pick up a couple of extras for Christmas gifts. Your "bow challenged" friends will love you for it!

I seems like I have been gone for a long time....sorry. I was away for the sale (more about that in a minute) and then when I got back after the holiday weekend....I was sick. So - I am feeling better and looking forward to another weekend.

I heard the sale was GREAT! Jennie and Bob had a canopy up in the parking lot - it was a perfect weather day, and well - the perfect day for browsing for bargains! There were lots of gently loved items in the garage sale, lots of half off items from the store - a perfect sale!

There are still some bargains left - so if you missed it like I did - you can still pick up some great designer paper and other goodies. Hurry in while supplies last!

La Blanche Stamps

Some of the great stuff that Jennie and Bob saw at CHA Chicago is starting to come into the store. One of the new stamp lines they will be carrying is La Blanche. They're from Germany and are, in a word - gorgeous!

Let me tell you a little about this product line. The stamps are actually very different - they are silicone, not rubber or acrylic. They're also mounted on foam blocks, so they are light as a feather.

For best results, you use La Blanche Specialty Stamping Paper, which is an non-coated paper. It feels wonderful to the touch, very smooth and picks up the incredible detail on these stamps beautifully and effortlessly. Oh....you can try other papers - but trust me, the paper is incredible and really brings out the detail. Bob has it in the store - so don't leave without picking up La Blanche Specialty Stamping Paper!

There are so many ways to colour, embellish, and use these stamps, that they will quickly become a favourite of yours.

Love hearing from you!

One of the great things about a blog - is the interaction. Just a bunch of people who share an interest, meeting together online, sharing opinions, comments, you know - just talking!

Well, I feel like I've been talking to myself the last couple of weeks. So, please feel free to comment, offer suggestions, tell me what you would like to talk about! There is a comment link under each posting just waiting for your feedback.

So - to get the ball rolling, I have a question for you.

What is the funniest stamp you own?

Mine is "Some days it's not worth chewing through the restraints" Sometimes - that is more truth than fiction - but ya' just gotta keep laughing!

That said - I am looking forward to Art Impressions stamps arriving at Skribbles and Scraps - there were some pretty funny sayings on their website - check them out here.

A Little Love Note

Card makers often joke around and say that the person they give the card to better not throw it away and better keep it forever!

Well - maybe we only half joke around. Sometimes we are dead serious.......

I have to admit, I've sometimes felt that way when I have tucked that card into the envelope and sealed the back.

I've wondered if they will realize the time it took to make this card from scratch, or that I could have just gone out and bought one.

I wonder if they will look at every detail, or whether they will just read the inside and stick it back in the envelope. Will it go on display for for a period of time? Or....NO! please NO!....will I see it tossed in the trash basket the next day?

Fortunately, I have gotten over that. I've matured....

When you think about it, my attitude was pretty self centred.

After all, there was much joy in creating that card - this gift made from my hands...given to someone I wanted to bless because hey, they were worth every minute or hour it took me to design, ink, stamp, cut and embellish each detail.

It is the thought, the spirit of giving that counts here. It's not about me! Card making and giving is "other centred" not self centred.

You see, it is a little act of love when I give a card. Whether it is to say how sorry I am that they lost someone they love, or to wish them a great birthday or to say thanks, or to give a word of encouragement and hope. Each card from me is a little love note.

I have learned that in life, giving love and accepting love is a choice.

If I have given someone a card, a little love note, they have two choices. The first, is to accept it as it was intended, to communicate love and how much I value them. They will feel special, invested in, worth the time, thought and effort in the creating. Then my mission in the creating and giving the card will have been accomplished.

The second, is to choose not to recognize that there is so much more than just a card in that envelope.....and that it communicates that I thought they were worth it, that they were special and loved. They can choose to not recognize or disregard the real message of that card - the gift of love.

Regardless, the card remains a little gift of love. Failing to accept the gift from the giver does not negate it - it is still a gift of love.

When you realize this, it makes it a lot easier to walk by that trash basket the next day.........

Phone sales count!

I was just talking with Bob - and he said that if you wanted to get in on the CHA Swag bag prizes - Phone sales are eligible!

Funny and real!

One of the new lines that Skribbles and Scraps will be carrying is from Art Impressions. Check them out! I can't wait - because these stamps make me laugh out loud!

One of the series that they have is called "Girlfriends" and they just make me want to pull out my Copics and start colouring. There are so many ways to use these cards, and so many girlfriends I could send them to - they are sure to brighten anyone's day.

There is something to be said for cards that express your TRUE feelings - don't you think?

There are so many more that I have my eye on in this series.....I know you will too! Watch for them soon!

CHA Swag!

Hi friends!

I returned home last night from visiting family this long weekend, and while I loved doing that I find myself exhausted on this first work day. So - I am already looking forward to the weekend. How sad is that!

I hope the rest of you had fun whatever you were doing, and for those of you who were not on the roads with all the crazy traffic and were home relaxing, maybe doing some scrapbooking or making a card or two - I am drooling with envy!

I find that there are a lot of things in summer that distract from my playing with paper. While it is nice to be spontaneous and take off on a whim or just sit outside and enjoy the sun and flowers in my garden, I do miss being surrounded by paper, inks, bling, yards of ribbon and other fun things! It is that part of me that yearns for fall, and cooler days, and new Christmas paper! LOL!

OK, down to what I really want to talk about today: CHA SWAG!

Jennie and Bob went to Chicago and took Cathy and Sherry with them for the ride. They brought back all kinds of goodies, and they want to share them with you. They had so much swag, that Jennie has put together a number of yummy bags of treats that you could win! The opportunity to win two of those bags starts today. Here's how.......

Confession time girls!

All those who have purchased something for crafting that later made you ask "WHAT WAS I THINKING?" please raise your hands......

I thought so! Thanks for being honest - you can put your hands down now. I'll have to put mine down too to continue typing...LOL!

I am relatively new to card making and when I started I was clueless as to what I needed and what to buy. So, I took a lot of advice (much of it not so good), bought a lot of poor quality paper, weird stamps and even weirder tools. I bought "what was I thinking?" punches and really bad inks and products that to this day I have never used. Then one day I wandered into Skribbles and Scraps and I have to say, I am quite a bit wiser now for having done so.

When I look back at some of my first cards, I see how far I have come from those first attempts. I realize what a difference quality paper, proper tools, the right inks and products make. I will always be grateful for Bob's guidance in the store and Jennie's patience in her classes.

So, being a more mature card maker now, I make wise choices about my stamps, punches, products and tools etc........

Oh my, how I wish that were true!

While my purchases are quality ones now, I have those cute little stamps that I still haven't used after 2 years - or all the die cuts I thought I couldn't live without, the embossing folder I was sure would be used on any number of cards and hasn't been used at all.......well, you know where this is going.....

Sometimes, I am ashamed to say, I buy something only to find a couple of months later when I decide to get organized, that I already had it - so now I have two of the same thing!

So, where is all this leading you ask? Well, it's time to get rid of all those "What was a thinking?" (WWIT?) items.

Skribbles and Scraps is having an Anniversary Sale on August 27. They are also hosting a Garage Sale that day as well. Here's how it works:

1. Gather up all those WWIT? items. Be ruthless girls - if you haven't used them by now, you probably won't!

2. Call the store and tell them that you want to sell your stuff at the Garage sale. You can sell as much as you can fit in a computer paper box (store will supply).

3. They will give you a code for the sale.

4. Label your items with your code and price them to sell (It is helpful to make a list of what you are selling).

5. Drop them off at the store - staff will take care of your items the day of the sale.

6. At the end of the day, any sales you have will be paid to you in the form of gift certificates redeemable at Skribbles and Scraps.

So - this is your chance to get rid of the evidence of those WWIT? purchases and maybe even get a great deal on someone else's craft room treasures! You can use your gift certificates to buy new items for your fall paper crafting. It's a win - win situation!

The ancient art of quilling

Hey - you know those cute accents that you have seen on cards and scrapbook pages, that look very intricate and complicated? It's called quilling, and it is actually easy! With a couple of simple tools and supplies, you too can be creating your own accents. Your friends will think you are so talented!

Come out to a Beginner's quilling class at the store on September 17th from 10:30-1:30. The cost is $30 for supplies and you receive a $5 coupon for the store. In this class you will learn all the basic shapes needed to create beautiful patterns.

This class sold out in June, so don't put off calling Bob to reserve your spot. I heard this class had a ball quilling! Who would have thought that rolling paper would be so much fun!

While you're at it, sign up for the Intermediate class scheduled for October 1st. Same price, same $5 coupon for the store.

What Jennie and Bob were up to last week

Well - Riley and Chassie have already let everyone know that Jennie and Bob were away for Langdan's birth - but they had a good reason.....

They were attending the CHA convention in Chicago. I hear they had a great time........no details yet....only "what happens in Chicago stays in Chicago!" I will see what I can find out for you about all the fun!

For those of you who don't know - CHA stands for Craft and Hobby Association and is pronounced

"C" "H" "A" not cha......as in cha cha!

It's where the industry struts it stuff, showcases the best they have to offer and previews the new products that will be hitting the shelves once CHA is over. It is held twice a year, the larger of the two shows happens in January in Anaheim California.

There were 200 + companies represented there, and you will see a lot of their products showing up in the store over the next few months.

A new addition to the family!

Apparently I am being upstaged by the store mascots for this post......

Uncle Riley and Aunt Chassie are howling the announcement of the birth of their nephew, Langdan on July 21. Here's what they had to say:

"It's a good thing we were here, because Bob and Jennie were on a train coming back from CHA in Chicago when Langdan was born!

Humans have it so easy, there was only one in the litter. He weighed 8 lbs though - so we guess it is a good thing there was only one. He belongs to Jordan and Gillian who should be great parents because they have already had practice training their dog Kya.

He's a cute pup - (see pic below) and apparently he has lots of hair.....which is always a good thing in our opinion. We haven't had a chance to lick him yet - but we are betting that he tastes mighty good! We can't wait to play with him.

We also can't wait until he is old enough to come and visit, and drop food on the floor for us!

Oh, by the way - this means Jennie and Bob are now the "g" word......... you know what we mean....."

Is anybody still out there?

Well......I wouldn't blame you if you wandered off somewhere. After all, the last post on this blog was March 22 - not 2011 but 2010! Welcome back! I promise to update more often than every 16 months! LOL!

Jennie and Bob have been very busy lately, finding new and exciting things to play with. If you haven't been in the store lately, come on in! You will find a lot of new stuff to fall in love with, new paper you can't live without - and more exciting products to inspire you to new heights of creativity.

It's a great way to beat the heat - spend a couple of hours exploring at Skribbles and Scraps!

Scrap-A-Thon for RAYJON

For all of you that haven't heard there will be a Scrap-A-Thon for RAYJON taking place on March 6th 2010 from 9am until 9pm at St Thomas Aquinas (895 Champlain Road) in Sarnia. The cost for the day is $40 with a $25 charitable recipt, a small lunch and dinner are also provided. Skribbles and Scraps will be there with items from the store available for purchase as well as we will be doing make and takes throughtout the day. Skribbles and Scraps has gotten so busy that I am going to take over the blog in order to keep everyone informed of what is new at the store. Taking place this weekend is the Big Sisters Sale at SCITS high school in Sarnia. Jennie and Bob will there Saturday and Sunday with many products from the store including many of the new items that we have just recieved. Grandma Judy and I will be at the store on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. for anyone who needs something but does not wish to go to Big Sisters. Come visit us to see the new products such as the Sparkly Fluff, that we have just recieved. HAPPY SCRAPPING!!

Hi All,
Well were home from our wonderful trip to warm and sunny Las Vegas the weather was very warm usually around a 100 degrees... We met a lot of very nice people and vendors.. A special "Thanks" to our new Vegas friends, Vicky and Angie for bringing us back to our hotel from the Rubber Stamps and Scrapbook Show, Thanks you guys...
We will be bringing in new stamps from DeNami Designs they are fabulous, also new stamps from Our Craft Lounge, these are terrific their stamp designer is none other then Marianne Walker our copic certification instructor, so these stamps are perfect for colouring with copic markers. Last but not least Stampendous they carry a great selection of stamps and new "Class A' Peel Stickers". Be sure to check out all these websites...

Well I know its been awhile since I've posted.. I have no excuse we've just been busy... Here's whats new at Skribbles and Scraps

We have just gotten in all the new pendents and bordabilities from Spellbinders.

Were excited we've just gotten a shipment of House of Mouse stamps... tooo cute

Were doing several christmas classes in July, and we'll be getting ready for our big sale Saturday Aug 15 (we have one sale a year and will be putting alot of paper, embellishments, punches, tombow markers, jely roll glitter pens, etc.. )

Well Bob and I are off to Toronto tomorrow to do a copic playday at one of our wholesalers. We are so excited because we are just starting to bring in the copic sketch markers and Bob, Rox-Anne and I are going to be certified so we can teach everyone about them..
